Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the LH valve cover.

Remove the RH valve cover.

.

Remove the viscous fan assembly.

:   Make sure the camshaft lobe is opposite the camshaft roller follower, prior to removal. :   Mark each camshaft roller follower and lash adjuster. Make sure each component is returned to its original fitted position. Using the special tool, remove the camshaft roller followers.   Depress the valve spring.

Rotate the engine as required to access the remaining camshaft roller followers.

Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.

.

:   Install the components to their original fitted positions. Install the hydraulic lash adjusters.   Clean the component mating faces.   Lubricate the components with clean engine oil.

:   Install the components to their original fitted positions. Using the special tool, install the camshaft roller followers.   Clean the component mating faces.   Lubricate the components with clean engine oil.   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Rotate the engine as required to access the remaining camshaft roller followers.

.

Install the viscous fan assembly.

.

Install the RH valve cover.

.

Install the LH valve cover.

.

Connect the battery ground cable.
